Plan Ahead and Recreate Responsibly
Officials with Yellowstone Park are gearing up for another busy tourist season. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Summer is the most popular time of the year at Yellowstone National Park and visitors can expect long lines at entrance stations, extremely busy facilities and destinations, as well as delayed travel time due to heavy traffic and wildlife jams. Park Spokesperson Linda Veress.
Veress said it’s always a good idea to check current park conditions by visiting their website before you arrive.
Veress said visitors need to know where they will be spending the night, as most campgrounds and hotels have already been booked for the summer. She said people also need to recreate responsibly while visiting the park.
Veress said weather permitting, the Beartooth Highway (US-212) between Red Lodge and Cooke City, Montana is scheduled to open Friday at 8 am.
