Yard Debris, Permits Discussed by City Building Inspector
Buffalo City Building Inspector Terry Asay, in his recent report to the city council, discussed what not to do with yard debris and grass clippings within city limits.
There have been reports of residents dumping branches and grass clippings in the alleyways in the city, which he wanted to remind people is illegal.
He also wanted to remind residents that a permit is required to put up a fence, and that homeowners need to know where their property lines are and can only build fences to the existing property line.
Check with his office at city hall for additional information.
Finally, he reported that the annual City/County Spring Cleanup is May 12th through the 15th, and city residents can get their vouchers for free trips to the landfill at city hall by bringing in a water bill and description of the vehicle that will be used for the trips to the landfill.
