Pat BlairAs Scott Stults moves from an assistant superintendent at Sheridan County School District 2 to superintendent of the district on July 1, other personnel in the district are also moving to fill vacancies created by the change.
Stults said Rebecca Adsit, who has been principal at Sheridan High School for four years, will move into the assistant superintendent position that he is vacating. He said before she became principal of the high school, she was a teacher and instructor facilitator for the district for 12 years.
Stults said the Meadowlark Elementary School principal position is open, but applications for that will close Sunday. At that time, the district will look at scheduling interviews for applicants for the position.
Stults said all of the positions, like his own transition to superintendent, will become effective on July 1, which is the date that all of their contracts start with the district.
Stults was chosen by School District 2 trustees on Feb. 1 as the new superintendent to replace Craig Dougherty, who is retiring effective June 30.
