Hospital Board OKs Employee Health Software Purchase
The Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center have approved the purchase of software that can rack employee health, which will protect them and patients at the facility.
Facility Infection Preventionist Kristina Duarte, who is also the employee health nurse, explained more about the software during the recent hospital board meeting.
The software can also track employee incidents and injuries, which are also currently done manually.
The cost of the software will be $57,000 for the first three years, which CARES Act funding can be used for because it is COVID-related.
The cost would then be about $1,000 per month after the first three years.
After more discussion, the board voted to approve the purchase of the software.
