JCHC, PHO Discuss New County Health Orders

Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister and County Public Health Officer Dr. Mark Schueler discussed the changes in the health orders awarded to Johnson County earlier this week.

McCallister said as of Tuesday, the JCHC had one active COVID patient, and are still enforcing masking and visitation policies in spite of the change in public health orders.

Dr. Schueler was asked what the new health orders mean specifically to those in Johnson County.

Dr. Schueler said it’s still okay to wear a mask in Johnson County, and many will still choose to do so, but no one will be told they have to, except those in the schools at this time.
