Council to Consider Community Garden Resolution
The Sagebrush Community Garden was created when the Partners in Philanthropy approached the City of Sheridan in 2010 about using a vacant piece of property for community garden space. The City Council at a study session this week, heard from City Parks Superintendent Steve Gage on a resolution that updates the original resolution for the Sagebrush Community Garden.
Gage said a couple of recommendations in the resolution include that all plot fees be handled through the City’s Customer Service Division and garden members and the City should assemble an active committee that meets consistently to share and exchange information pertinent to Sagebrush Garden activities. The Council will consider the resolution at an upcoming business meeting.
