Trial Date Set for Sheridan County Woman Charged With Aggravated Assault and Battery
On January 24, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in Sheridan County. Shortly after law enforcement arrived on scene, 20-year-old Kiley Green was arrested for an altercation she had with another individual where she allegedly brandished a firearm, threw knives and choked the individual.
Thursday, at an arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, Green pleaded “not guilty” to the charges of Felony Aggravated Assault and Battery, Felony Strangulation of a Household Member and Misdemeanor False Imprisonment. District Court Judge John Fenn set the three day trial to begin on August 2nd and scheduled a pretrial conference for July 8 at 10 am. Green’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. If convicted on all three charges, Green faces up to 21 years in prison and fines of up to $21,000.
