Education board to hear panel on life after high school

Wyoming’s State Board of Education will meet at 9 a.m. Feb. 25 to hear from a panel of current and recent high school graduates on preparing for life after high school.

The panel, which continues the education board’s Profile of a Graduate project, will meet virtually via Zoom.

The Profile of a Graduate project will define the knowledge, skills and attributes students should have when they graduate from high school. The panelists will highlight their preparation for the opportunities and challenges each has faced after high school.

In other action during the Feb. 25 meeting, the board of education expects to consider for approval the WIDA English Language Development Standards and hear public input on Math Performance Standards.
