Main Street Project Virtual Meeting
The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Sheridan recently hosted a virtual public involvement meeting on the upcoming 2023 rehabilitation and utility upgrade of Sheridan’s downtown Main Street. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The virtual meeting, which was held via the Zoom platform, provided an opportunity for the public to learn more about the project and to share their feedback on the project as well. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says despite the public meeting being held virtually, it was well attended.
I asked the Mayor if he felt the City and WYDOT were currently on the same page regarding the project moving forward?
A little over half a mile of Main Street from Dow Street to the Coffeen Avenue and Burkitt Street intersection will be resurfaced as part of the project. WYDOT and the City continue to review several different options to lessen the impact to the downtown businesses.

If the downtown businesses provided alley access to their stores during the main street project customers would be able to access their stores more conveniently and without passing through the construction zone!
