Budget Issues Mean State Medicare Reimbursements to be Cut
The State of Wyoming will be cutting Medicare reimbursements to nursing homes, according to Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister.
During their recent hospital board meeting, McCallister explained that the state had announced in December that due to budget cuts related to COVID-19, they would be reducing their Medicare reimbursements by 2.5%.
Although McCallister didn’t have the specific numbers from the reduction in Medicare reimbursement at the meeting, he said it will have an financial impact on the facility.
