Buffalo Expands New Trash Bin Distribution

Published

on

Buffalo continues to expand the number of one-man truck trash bins in the city, according to City Works Director Les Hook, who gave the update to the city council at their recent meeting.

Hook said they had recently added 45 to 50 of the new-style bins to the Tuesday route, and have so far placed roughly 650 of the new bins throughout the city.

The city still continues to pick up about three times that number of conventional garbage cans in alleys, according to discussions.

More of the new trash bins will be placed throughout the city, with curbside pickup in the coming months.

Hook also reported that city crews in recent weeks had been trimming trees in city park, and had to cut down a large Poplar tree that was split and in danger of falling.
