EOC: COVID Cases Down, More Vaccine Doses Coming
The Johnson County COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center held their weekly briefing Tuesday, and reported on active cases, which are down, and said more vaccine doses will be arriving next month.
Robin King, with County Public Health, said there are currently only seven active cases of COVID-19 in the county.
She said the total number of lab-confirmed cases in the county is at 374, with 237 probable cases since the pandemic began in early 2020.
Trisha Thompson, Johnson County Public Health Nursing Manager, said they are continuing to administer vaccines, and have so far given 350 doses.
Public Health will continue giving them as more vaccine doses come in.
She reported they have been informed of the amount of vaccine they can expect in February.
Thompson said she hopes that as the vaccination campaign continues that the number of active cases will continue to go down.
