The revenue generated from the sales and use tax in Sheridan continues to be positive, as City Treasurer Karen Burtis provided the numbers for the Sheridan City Council Monday night for taxes paid by consumers for the month of November. Burtis said the monthly tax is up 10.5 percent from the same time last year, and the year-to-date tax is at a 6 percent increase. Burtis said that Sheridan has been one of the few communities in the state that has had consistent positive numbers since the pandemic began.
Burtis said the internet tax is up 39.1 percent compared to last year and that for year-to-date, it is up 47.8 percent.
