The City of Sheridan will be applying for grant funding for the Blacktooth Park phase three project. The City Council approved a resolution Monday night authorizing submission of a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant in the amount of $500,000. City Public Works Director Lane Thompson said phase three consists of an inclusive playground that will meet all ADA requirements.
The grant requires the City to have a 100 percent match for the project. The funds will come from the one-cent optional tax. Phase two of the project, which consists of construction of a restroom facility, is expected to be done this upcoming summer.
