W. D. Fisher, secretary of the Sheridan Commercial club, is urging legislation that would allow a community to assess a levy for promotion of itself.
Mrs. J. J. Marshall, temporary chairman of the Young Women’s Christian Association, has announced that, thanks to a gift from Senator Kendrick, the association will open upstairs in Sheridan’s old city hall on Jan. 1.
A bootlegger was fined $200 in Sheridan’s police court after pleading guilty to a charge of selling Canadian whiskey to Chief of Police McPherren this past weekend.
A meeting has been called this afternoon for organization of a hot lunch program at the Beckton school.
