City OKs Variances for Fireworks Display After Parade
The Buffalo City Council has approved variances to city code that will allow a fireworks display this Saturday after the Lighted Christmas Parade.
Taylor Rieniets, Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor at Buffalo High School, spoke to the council on behalf of the BHS FFA Chapter, who will be helping with the display, which will be put on by former State Senator Bruce Burns at Prosinski Park.
Rieniets explained their request.
Rieniets said she still needed to contact Buffalo Fire Chief Gomer Gammon for his approval and has contacted Public Health Officer Dr. Mark Schueler who gave approval for the event, as long as people are in or around their vehicles during the display.
The council approved the use of Prosinski Park and the fireworks and noise variance for the BHS FFA Chapter.
The fireworks display will begin at 6:45pm, just after the parade.
