Last November, the Sheridan City Council designated $225,000 of the general fund surplus from fiscal year 2019 as an assigned fund balance for the future purchase of ERP software. City Treasurer Karen Burtis said at Monday night’s Council study session, that there is a general fund surplus for fiscal year 2020 in the amount of $893,000 and that she’s requesting funds from that surplus for the future purchase of the ERP software.
The Council is expected to consider the request at their next regularly scheduled business meeting on Monday, December 7. Also from the study session; the Council discussed a universal annexation agreement for the Cloud Peak Ranch; the City’s annexation process and the City’s zoning ordinance. The selection of a consultant for a Main Street project scheduled for 2023 was also an item of discussion during the study session.
