Buffalo’s Christmas Parade Still a ‘Go’ With Some Changes

Published

on

Buffalo’s annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be happening this Saturday, December 5th as usual, but with some necessary changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

County Health Officer Dr. Mark Schueler is encouraging float participants to restrict those walking with the floats, and have the majority of participants on the floats themselves; and that no candy or other objects be thrown or handed out during the parade.

The “Heritage Holiday” Lighted Christmas Parade will be Saturday beginning at 6pm.

Forms for those participating in the parade are due by the end of day Monday, November 30th.

Those in the crowd are asked to social distance and stay in family groups during the parade.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the annual chili feed has been canceled this year.

Who wants to go when basically everything that makes the parade so special is not allowed?
