A Look Back in Time: Nov. 14, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Nov. 14, 1920.
The State Highway Commission in Cheyenne has issued orders abolishing District Highway Division No. 5 and closing the district highway engineer’s office in Sheridan. The orders call for immediate discontinuance of maintenance and construction of state highways in Sheridan, Johnson, Campbell, Crook and Weston counties. The cause is the defeat of the three good roads amendments in the last election.
“Tug” Wilson of the OW ranch is in Sheridan this morning on business.
Special Sunday dinner will be served from noon to 8 p.m. today for 75 cents at the Crescent Cafe in the Perkins Building.
