Sheridan, Johnson Counties Rescind Fire Bans

Both Sheridan and Johnson Counties have rescinded their individual fire bans as of this week.

Sheridan County’s Commissioners sent out a release Monday saying on the recommendation of the Sheridan County Fire Warden and the Fire Chiefs of the Rural Fire Protection Districts, the Sheridan County Commissioners have rescinded Resolution 20-07-020 which lifts the fire ban imposed on July 7th.

Effective immediately, October 19th, open burning will be allowed in Sheridan County.

Johnson County’s Commissioners rescinded their partial fire ban, enacted on June 19th by passing Resolution #637 at their meeting Tuesday.
