A dance performance will be presented at Sheridan College later this month.

“Chasing Light,” by guest dancer Liz Dibble and the Sheridan College dance department, will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 and 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Whitney Center for the Arts.

Dibble is assistant director of the Brigham Young University Dance Ensemble and an adjunct faculty member at BYU.

According to Ryan Landis, who is Whitney Center for the Arts Concert Hall & Performing Arts coordinator, the performance will be an uplifting exploration of hope. Landis said “Chasing Light” will explore the ways that we are able to find hope in the midst of these uncertain times.

In addition to the performance on Halloween weekend, Dibble will spend a week in residence at Sheridan College, starting on Oct. 26, teaching master classes and creating a new work in collaboration with Sheridan College dance students.

The performance, which includes three new works choreographed by Dibble, will include a mix of live dance performed by Sheridan College dance students and dance film created and performed by the Brigham Young University Dance Ensemble.

Tickets to the performances are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and can be purchased online at www.sheridan.edu/arts or by calling the Whitney Center for the Arts box office at (307) 670-0360. Livestream tickets are also available for $10.
