JCHC COVID Projects Ramping Up for December Completion
The capital improvements projects at the Johnson County Healthcare Center, funded through Federal CARES Act dollars through the State Loan and Investments Board (SLIB), are “ramping up” and will need to be completed by the end of the year, according to CEO Sean McCallister.
The JCHC was awarded $3.8 million in grant funding for the projects, which include replacing air handlers along with the mechanical systems that will be needed for the upcoming reconstruction of the older section of the hospital, and three smaller projects in the acute care waiting room, surgical patient recovery area, and in the sterilization area, which all must be completed and the funds used before the end of 2020.
Odell Construction was selected as the project construction manager for the projects.
