Sheridan Woman Changes Plea on Endangering Children Charge
A 21-year-old Sheridan woman changed her plea at a hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan Tuesday. Brianna McEachran, pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, pleaded “guilty” to the charge of Felony Endangering Children. The plea deal recommends a deferred sentence and three years of supervised probation. District Court Judge John Fenn ordered that a presentence investigation be completed by Probation and Parole and set the day for sentencing for December 17 at 9:30 am.
According to court documents, in February of this year, the Department of Family Services received a report that McEachran had been smoking methamphetamine in her apartment in Sheridan with two children present, one an infant, and the other a two-year-old. An investigation by the Sheridan Police Department led to her arrest in late May for the crime of Endangering Children. Hair samples taken from the children were lab-confirmed positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
