Sex Offender Receives Extensive Sentence for Preying on Child

Chief Federal District Court Judge for Wyoming Scott W. Skavdahl recently sentenced Charles Patrick Jeffery, JR. to 30 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised probation following his release for the charge of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child. According to the Department of Justice, the charge against Jeffery stemmed from a sexual act with a child under the age of 12 on the Wind River Indian Reservation on or about November 18, of 2015 and July 1, of 2016. The child did not disclose the information about the crime until 2018.

U.S. Attorney for Wyoming Mark Klaassen said the case is an example of the ongoing efforts to protect the innocence of children. Denver FBI Special Agent in Charge Michael Schneider said the FBI remains committed to combating the exploitation and abuse of some of our nation’s most vulnerable populations, especially children. Schneider added that this prosecution would not have been possible without the victim’s courage in bringing forward these allegations and allowing the law enforcement community to pursue justice on their behalf.

  1. I don’t want to pay for one more day of this POS let alone 30 years of better care than some vets and law abiding citizens. Add a life time of probation and the result is still the same. The kids life was ruined and perve gets 3 hots and a cot plus life time health care….you know what they should do with him and others like him.
