Pat BlairSheridan College’s Certified Nursing Assistant program will host a free information session on the CNA course next week.
The session is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Room 134 at the Sheridan College Broadway Center. Those attending will be required to wear masks.
The Certified Nursing Assistant course prepares students for entry-level employment in the health care field. The next CNA course at the college starts on Oct. 15.
Those attending the CNA information session will learn about class requirements and costs. The CNA course consists of seven weeks of online learning, followed by five days of in-person labs and on-site clinicals designed to give students the skills and knowledge they need to take the certification exams administered by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing, which are required to become a CNA.
Sheridan College’s accredited CNA course prepares students for employment at hospitals, long-term care facilities and with home-care services. In addition, students no longer have to complete pre-requisites before they register for the course, but can complete them during the class.
