A 41-year-old Sheridan resident died Monday of injuries sustained in a crash around milepost 3 on US 14 east of Sheridan.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeremy Beck, the man has been identified as Jeremy H. Anderson.

According to Beck, Anderson was traveling east on US 14 in a 1991 Ford F-350 when he encountered a deer in the roadway. The vehicle collided with the deer before Anderson steered to the left, causing the vehicle to leave the road and overturn.

Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified of the one-vehicle rollover shortly after 6:20 a.m. Beck said Anderson wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital where he died.

Beck said Anderson was the 94th fatality on Wyoming roadways in 2020. That’s down from 118 fatalities by this date in 2018.
