Buffalo’s Oktoberfest Returns Saturday

Buffalo will again be celebrating Oktoberfest, now that organizers have decided to continue the event, although with some changes this year.

Claudia Todd, who has co-organized the event along with Anke Kottmann, and Janny Breton, said this year’s event is modeled after traditional festivals in Germany.

The celebration of German culture will be this Saturday from 12 to 3 in Crazy Woman Square, and at Un’WINE’d from 3 to 10 to wrap up the day.

There will be German food including brats, sauerkraut, and pretzels, all prepared by local German people; local beers and German wine; a petting zoo and activities for the kids; and German Polka music.

Tickets for the event are $5 per person, with children 12 and under free.
