Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder gave his monthly report for August to the city council during their recent meeting, saying there were just over 1,500 incidents in the city, and dispatch handled roughly 4,800 phone calls during the month.

Of the 1,500 incidents there were 208 traffic stops; one traffic violation; 25 vehicle accidents, one with a fatality or serious injury reported; five hit-and-run incidents; and 18 parking complaints.

Also, the city Animal Control Officer had 50 animal calls in August, but did not respond to any in the county, and they were not billed for the month.
