Fetterman Project Manager Requests Rush on Change Order

Adam Rothbart, with Barnum Construction, and the project superintendent on Buffalo’s West Fetterman Street Reconstruction Project, came before the city council to request approval on needed change orders.

He explained that he needs it finalized to keep from holding the project up.

Project Engineer Brent Bennett, with Nelson Engineering, explained the issue in more detail.

According to Bennett, some costs associated with the change orders were part of unit costs that was already bid in the project, while others fall outside of that scope, so he, the contractor, and the city need to review those parameters to get the change order information compiled.

Mayor Shane Schrader, in a separate interview, said those involved met, reached an understanding, and the project is currently back on track.
