Weather Conditions Fuel Recent Fires

Sheridan County officials remind citizens that hot and dry weather conditions have heightened the possibility of fires in the area. Since Monday, there have been two reported fires in the region, the Waddle Creek Fire in northeast Sheridan County, and the Freeze Out Fire in the Bighorn National Forest. While a guest on our news talk show Public Pulse Thursday, Sheridan County Commissioner Terry Cram said that people need to be cognizant of just how high the fire danger currently is in the County.

In early July, County Commissioners approved a resolution implementing partial fire restrictions at the recommendation from Sheridan County Fire Warden Chris Thomas and the rural fire department chiefs.
