Construction will begin immediately of a combined shop, repair shed and storage barn for use by the state highway forces working in the Sheridan district.
Sergeant Homer L. Watkins of the recruiting station in Sheridan has been ordered to leave Wednesday for a trip that is to include three weeks at Buffalo, Gillette and Newcastle for distribution of army posters and to secure recruits at each town.
A petition was presented to the city council this morning signed by seven property owners and business men asking the council to condemn what was described as a gasoline- and oil-soaked platform along the Burlington right-of-way in the vicinity of Crook and A streets.
