Northern Wyoming Community College District has been ranked the fifth Best Community College in the U.S., according to a list released this week by WalletHub.

The college district, which operates Sheridan and Gillette colleges and Sheridan College in Johnson County, was rated on three key metrics including cost and financing, education outcomes and career outcomes.

The college district is one of only two colleges in Wyoming to make the WalletHub list.

The college district was one of 698 schools from the list of member institutions in the American Association of Community Colleges to be selected and evaluated.

College District President Dr. Walter Tribley said the district is proud to be publicly recognized for what students, faculty and staff already know – that the college district delivers the skills and knowledge students need for success at an affordable cost.
