City Works Updates Council on Projects

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook updated the city council on ongoing city projects at their last meeting.
The current phase of the Buffalo Business Park Project should be substantially complete by the end of this month.
The Buffalo Wells Project, which is drilling a number of water wells just west of the current water treatment plant for a secondary source of drinking water for the city, is currently underway. The goal of the project is to get six working wells that can each produce 200 to 300 gallons of water per minute
Hook said the second well looks like it will be viable. The contractor drilled down five feet and has produced about 100 gallons of water per minute, so it appears there is planty of water there to be tapped.
Phase Two of the project will build the pipeline between the well site and the water treatment plant.
