Sheridan County OKs Contract for CARES Act Funding

A contract between Sheridan County and the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division was approved by the county commission at their Tuesday meeting.

The contract specifies terms and conditions for funding through the CSBG, or Community Services Block Grant Progrsm for CARES Act supplemental funding for poverty-fighting efforts to prevent, prepare, and respond to the impacts of the Coronavirus Disease pandemic.

Ann Perkins, Sheridan County Prevention Management Coordinator, explained how the county will use the funds.

The total payment to the county under the program will not exceed $221,128 and is for a term from March 27^th, 2020 through September 30^th, 2022.
