SAGE Community Arts: Spots Open In Final Summer Art Camps

SAGE Community Arts Executive Director Jill Benson appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about wrapping up its summer youth programming with two remaining art camps designed to inspire creativity and artistic expression. 

In partnership with the Sheridan County YMCA, SAGE Community Arts has enlisted talented local artists to host day camps for a number of years, but in 2023 Benson and her team wanted to expand the camps to meet the needs of more students.

While these camps teach various art mediums and techniques to children, Benson said the camps bring life, laughter and fearless creativity to SAGE.

SAGE has spots open for the two remaining camps for the summer; the Abstract Art and Painting Nature camps offer young artists opportunities to explore different techniques while building confidence in a fun, supportive environment where there are no mistakes. 

The camps are among SAGE’s year-round efforts to fulfill their mission of providing arts education and encouraging community engagement through the visual arts.
