Sleep in Heavenly Peace Coming to Sheridan

When Ralph Blommel contacted the Sheridan Foster Parent Exchange and asked what they needed most, the answer he received was beds. Wanting to help, he contacted Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The national nonprofit organization builds and delivers complete beds to children in need, including a handmade bed frame, mattress, sheets, pillow and other bedding.

Through Sleep in Heavenly Peace, volunteer teams build, deliver and assemble beds for families with the core mission, “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!”

But when Blommel was told Sheridan was too far from an existing Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter to receive assistance, he took on a new mission: establishing a local Sheridan chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Blommel is now looking for like-minded people to serve on the leadership, or core, team as well as volunteers, builders and sponsors who can help the chapter hold its first build event by mid-September.
