Johnson County Healthcare Center Clinic Director Crystal Smith discussed her report with the hospital board, saying she had nothing to add to her written report, other than the numbers of patients seen in June, which had gone up from the previous year.

Chief-of-Staff Dr. Brian Darnell added that patients are currently having to wait less to see their provider than in the past where they have had to wait from three up to six weeks to see them.

He said its good to see patients having to wait less but you also want doctors to remain busy.

In her written report, Smith said there were nearly 1,280 clinic visits in June, up from roughly 1,250 in 2025.

Walk-in Clinic visits totaled 328, down from 412 last year.
