Starting next week, students entering Sheridan College in the fall will have a chance to drop by the college without an appointment to register for classes and work with enrollment counselors to prepare for the fall semester.

The weekly event will start on July 15 and continue through Aug. 5 and will be from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Whitney Academic Center. Fall classes start on Aug. 24.

Those who take advantage of the Walk-in Wednesdays will have a chance to meet with staff to plan their education, register for classes, learn about financial aid options and address any other questions they might have. People can also learn more about available degree and certificate programs at the college at that time.

Micah Olson, who’s assistant vice president of enrollment management, said the college is excited to welcome everyone to campus to meet with staff and get ready for the fall semester. He said the college is offering extended hours to accommodate working students and their families, and anyone is welcome to drop in and speak with enrollment staff about their educational needs.

Social distancing measures will be in place for the safety of those attending the event, and hand sanitizer will be readily available to visitors.

In-person and phone or Zoom appointments are also available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Those wishing to schedule an appointment with a Sheridan College enrollment counselor is asked to call (307) 675-0505.
