SCLT Explore History: Battle of the Rosebud 150th Anniversary

Sheridan Community Land Trust will host a special Explore History as The Battle of the Rosebud observes its 150th Anniversary.

According to the Land Trust, this June, SCLT Explore History heads to Rosebud Battlefield State Park for the Battle of the Rosebud 150th Commemoration on Wednesday, June 17.

Hosted by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks alongside tribal nations and community participants, the daylong event will honor the battle’s 150th anniversary through ceremony, remembrance, horseback riders, cultural demonstrations, and a community meal.

A Sheridan carpool option will depart from The Hub on Smith between 8:30–8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 17.

SCLT notes limited bus seating is also available from Tongue River Valley Community Center for $30 per person. RSVPs are required for the bus option.
