City of Sheridan Reports Scam Using Information from Public Notices

The City of Sheridan is alerting residents and developers about a scam involving fake invoices connected to Planning and Zoning and Board of Adjustment applications. 

City of Sheridan Executive Assistant Kaylin McKinley-Rizzotto appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse warning the public to notify the City should they receive a notice requesting payment through wire transfers.

McKinley-Rizzotto said residents have reported receiving emails that appear to come from the City and are requesting large monetary wire transfers with up-to-date information through the use of public notices and other official public information.
