Sheridan Commission OKs 2% Lodging Tax Ballot Proposition

Sheridan County’s Commissioners hav approved putting a ballot proposition before voters this year to continue the 2% County-Wide Lodging Tax.

Zane Garstad, President of the Sheridan County Travel & Tourism, spoke to the commissioners to ask them to place the the proposition on the ballot.

Garstad went on to highlight the economic impact of tourism on the local economy, and the revenue generated by the lodging tax.

A question was raised on wording on the proposition, which the board amended and then passed.
