Sheridan College Announces Fund Drive for New President’s Scholarship
Sheridan College has announced a fund drive for the new President’s Scholarship. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Kicking off with the annual Golf for Knowledge Scholarship Golf Tournament, Sheridan College has set a goal to raise $200,000 in support of scholarships for Johnson County residents. Donations raised up to $200,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the College to fund the new President’s Scholarship for students earning a degree or certificate through Sheridan College in Sheridan, Buffalo, or online. Sheridan College President Dr. Walter Tribley said this effort reflects the college’s commitment to strengthen its partnership with the Johnson County community.
The President’s Scholarship will be available for students who are enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Sheridan College and will cover tuition and fees for up to 15 credits per semester for the 2026-2027 academic year, a value of over $5,000. The deadline to apply is July 31, 2026. Tribley added that the initiative aligns with the college’s continued investment in the region, including plans for the new Sheridan College in Johnson County Center for Higher Education.
