Hands of Valor Day of Service

Valor Academy students and staff assisted seven widows and widowers with a variety of tasks, including yard work and mowing lawns for their fifth-annual Hands of Valor Day of Service Friday. Tom Fried said several times how grateful he was for the assistance. He has lived at his residence since 1998 and became a widower four years ago.

Elizabeth Headlee, administrative assistant at the Academy, said it made her happy to see how hard the students were working during her visits to the residences. The project lasted four hours.
