Working Land Collaborative: Save the Date
The Sheridan County Conservation District will host the next Working Lands Collaborative Workshop Feb. 27 and 28, bringing producers together to focus on soil health, grazing management and the business side of livestock operations. The two-day workshop will take place in Sheridan County, the Conservation District will announce the location at a later date with registration expected to open by the end of January.
District Manager Carrie Rogaczewski said the workshop will feature Steve Kenyon of Greener Pastures Ranching, a regenerative livestock producer based northwest of Edmonton, Alberta and Caroline Wild of Wild Ranch Solutions in Parkman, who will discuss financial tools available to producers.

According to Rogaczewski, Kenyon focuses on building soil health through year-round grazing systems and is the author of “The Calendar of the Year-Round Grazier,” as well as a contributor to Canadian Cattleman and The Stockman Grass Farmer. Topics expected to be covered include winter feeding and bale grazing as tools to improve soil health, stockpiling forage and strategies to reduce feed and equipment costs.
Additional details and registration information are expected to be released by the end of January, with a participation fee to be announced. The workshop is part of the Working Lands Collaborative’s ongoing effort to support sustainable and economically viable agricultural operations in the region.
