Degenfelder Announces Bid for Governor
On Monday, Conservative Republican Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder announced her campaign for Governor of Wyoming. Degenfelder’s announcement was accompanied by the release of a video highlighting her vision to preserve and champion Wyoming values. Degenfelder, who had been strongly considering a bid, is entering the race with clear and strong backing from President Donald J. Trump. On Friday, President Trump took to Truth Social to make clear exactly where he stands, urging Republicans to rally behind her potential candidacy: “….Should she decide to enter this race, ‘MAGA’ Megan Degenfelder has my Complete and Total Endorsement. Run, Megan, RUN!”
“I am humbled and inspired to have the support and encouragement of President Trump,” said Degenfelder. “Coastal elites and liberal activists are coming for our oil, gas and coal jobs. Radical extremists seek to redefine genders, threatening our young women. And the political establishment cares more about undermining President Trump than serving the people who elected them. Not in Wyoming. Not when I’m Governor.”
“Through six generations Wyoming has provided opportunity for me and my family, while shaping the person I am and the values I hold today. I was raised in a ranching family, I worked in the oil, gas and coal industries. I coach female athletes at the highest level at the University of Wyoming, and I have fought for our future serving as the elected Superintendent. Wyoming values are my values and my experience, and I will stop at nothing to protect/defend them,” Degenfelder added.

With the current chaos emerging from the unrecognizable seat of American Democracy in Washington DC, being led by Trump and his ineffective, and unqualified Cabinet Secretary’s, and she being humbled and honored to have his support and encouragement, immediately tells and shows me her values and priority towards her representation of all, and I do mean all, we the people of the great State of Wyoming.As such, due to Trump endorsing her, I have grave reservations as to where her true loyalty’s will be, and at my age and experience with many elections and subsequent Administrations from those, I doubt seriously she will work on behalf of Wyoming and instead be at the beck and whim of the current President. I will be a no vote for anyone flying the Trump endorsement carpet.
