Published

The Downtown Sheridan Association will host the Gnome Around Downtown scavenger hunt from Thursday, Feb. 5, through Saturday, Feb. 14, inviting community members to explore local businesses while searching for hidden gnomes throughout downtown Sheridan.

DSA Executive Director Zoila Perry and Promotions and Marketing Committee Chair Mikkayla Heath announced the return of the event while appearing on Public Pulse. This year, the event is a partnership between the DSA and Phorge Makerspace, which provided 3D-printed gnomes for the promotion.

Participants can pick up gnome cards at participating businesses and receive a mark each time they discover a gnome inside a shop, with completed cards entered into a prize drawing featuring gift cards to downtown stores. The gnomes will be different colors depending on the store. Heath said the difficulty in finding the gnomes tends to vary with the business.

Completed gnome cards can be dropped off by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Kid Curious or the Downtown Sheridan Association office, with an extended drop-off option available until noon Monday, Feb. 16, at the DSA office, and winners will be selected and contacted on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
