Buffalo Senior Center Remains Closed, Still Offering Services
The Buffalo Senior Center earlier announced that they would remain closed through the end of June but some services would still be available, with changes to be compliant with COVID-19 restrictions.
Home delivered meals will continue but no activities will be scheduled and no in-house lunches will be served in the dining room.
The Buffalo Area Transportation System (BATS)will operate on a limited basis.
Rides are available for drive-through businesses only, and only one passenger will be transported at a time.
All riders must wear masks as well as the drivers.
The vans will be sanitized after each rider.
They ask riders to call 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride.
Rides to medical appointments will still be offered.
Grocery pick up at local stores will continue with adherence to already in-place procedures.
Bread of Life Food Pantry orders can still be picked up and delivered.
These services are offered for seniors age 60 and older.
The Finders Keepers Thrift Store re-opened on June 2nd with some guidelines.
Only 10 customers are allowed at a time in the store; customers are required to wear masks and will be required to use hand sanitizer before entering the store.
