A Sheridan Fire-Rescue engine responded to a call at 8:45 p.m., June 12, concerning smoke in the Family Dollar Store located at 410 Broadway.
SFR crews found smoke pushing from a heating and cooling unit in the store. The roof unit was inspected by the fire crew and found to have a burnt motor and insulation. Crews secured power to the unit and cooled the motor.
