Pat BlairTen Republicans have filed as candidates for a seat in the U.S. Senate. Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair recently had an opportunity to visit with one of them. Here’s her story.
Republican Bryan Miller says he’s running for the U.S. Senate basically for the same reason he first threw his hat in the ring six years ago.
He said those people have done a good job, but now it’s time for a different set of attitudes and a different way of doing business.
I had a chance to interview Miller during the recent Sheridan County Republican Women’s luncheon at Kendrick Park. The chairman of the Sheridan County Republican party, Miller said he’s taking a hiatus from those responsibilities while campaigning for the Senate seat vacated by the retirement of Senator Mike Enzi.
Miller ran against Enzi six years ago.
A native of Sheridan, he’s a graduate of Sheridan High School. While in high school, he was active in school government.
He was appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy, graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, and spent over 20 years on active duty in the Air Force, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
In February 2011, he started a private consulting business in Sheridan.
