JCSD1 Approves Rent Increase for Teacherages

The Johnson County School Board has approved rent increases at the district’s teacherages.

Board Chairman Travis Pearson gave more details on the rent increase.

According to merriam-webster.com, a teacherage is a residence provided to teachers by a school district.

The board said the rent increase would not take effect until January of 2026, to give the district the opportunity to inform the residents.
